Lone Star was a British toy brand known for its die-cast model vehicles, produced by Die-Casting Machine Tools Ltd (DCMT). The company was founded in 1939 and initially focused on metal and plastic die-casting machinery before transitioning into toy production.
Lone Star introduced its first branded model cars in 1957, under the Roadmaster series, which featured sports cars and vintage vehicles. Over the years, the brand expanded its lineup to include trucks, farm equipment, construction vehicles, airplanes, and trains. Lone Star also collaborated with Tootsietoy, producing American-style cars for the U.S. market.
In the 1970s, Lone Star responded to competition by launching Impy Super Models, a range of low-cost vehicles designed to rival imported brands. The company continued producing toy cars until the 1980s, but eventually faded from the market.
