Marx Toys, officially known as Louis Marx and Company, was a major American toy manufacturer that operated from 1919 to 1980. Founded by Louis and David Marx, the company became famous for producing affordable and durable toys, including tinplate buildings, toy soldiers, action figures, dolls, toy cars, and model trains. Some of its most iconic creations include Rock'em Sock'em Robots and the Big Wheel tricycle, which became a staple of childhood in the 1970s. Marx Toys was once the largest toy company in the world, known for its slogan, "One of the many Marx toys, have you all of them?". Despite its success, the company was sold in 1972 and eventually liquidated in 1980, though its legacy remains strong among collectors and toy enthusiasts.
